Taloga OK electrician on power line poleThere are multiple approaches to get electrician instruction in a technical or vocational school near Taloga OK. You may choose a diploma or certificate program, or obtain an Associate Degree. Bachelor’s Degrees are offered at certain schools, but are not as prevalent as the first three options. In many cases these programs are made available combined with an apprenticeship, which are required by the majority of states in order to become licensed or if you want to earn certification. Bellow are short summaries of the 3 most common programs offered.

  • Certificate and Diploma Programs are typically provided by Oklahoma vocational and trade schools and take approximately a year to complete. They furnish a solid foundation and are aimed towards students who would like to get into an apprenticeship faster as a journeyman electrician.
  • Associate Degrees take two years to complete and are offered by Oklahoma community colleges, typically as an Associate Degree in Electrical Technology. They furnish a more comprehensive education while supplying the foundation that readies students to enter into their apprenticeship program.
